Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before purchasing, enrolling in, accessing, or using a Skills Leap online course or learning offering.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern online courses, training programs, workshops, learning materials, live or recorded sessions, and related digital learning services offered by Skills Leap, LLC ("Skills Leap," "we," "us," or "our"). By purchasing, enrolling in, accessing, or using an offering, you agree to these Terms.
1. Learning Offerings
Skills Leap may offer self-paced courses, cohort-based courses, workshops, live sessions, recorded content, downloadable materials, community or discussion features, and other learning experiences. The description, price, schedule, access period, included services, and other details presented for a particular offering are part of that offering. Offerings may be paid, complimentary, promotional, discounted, bundled, or otherwise made available by Skills Leap.
2. Enrollment, Accounts, and Access
You agree to provide accurate information when registering or purchasing and to keep any account credentials secure. Access is intended for the enrolled participant unless Skills Leap expressly permits otherwise. You may not share credentials or provide unauthorized access to an offering or its materials.
3. Payments
Prices and payment terms are presented with the applicable offering. Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Any purchase-specific pricing or payment terms presented with an offering or during checkout form part of that purchase.
4. Intellectual Property and Permitted Use
Unless otherwise stated, Skills Leap and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights in the content and materials made available through our learning offerings, including videos, training materials, text, graphics, worksheets, prompts, downloads, recordings, and other content (collectively, "Content"). Subject to these Terms, Skills Leap grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to access and use the Content for your personal or internal professional learning. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute, publicly display, commercially exploit, or make the Content available to others without written permission from Skills Leap, except where an offering expressly permits a particular use.
5. Trademarks and Third-Party Rights
Skills Leap names, marks, logos, and other brand materials are owned by or used with permission by Skills Leap. Course materials may also include content owned or licensed by third parties. Nothing in these Terms grants a right to use those marks or materials beyond the limited learning use described above.
6. Participant Content and Conduct
Some offerings may allow you to submit questions, comments, exercises, discussion posts, files, or other participant content. You remain responsible for what you submit and must have the right to share it. You may not submit unlawful, infringing, defamatory, abusive, malicious, or privacy-violating material, interfere with the learning experience of others, attempt unauthorized access, or misuse the platform. You grant Skills Leap permission to use participant content only as reasonably necessary to operate, facilitate, support, and improve the learning experience. Skills Leap will not use an identifiable testimonial or personal story for marketing without appropriate permission.
7. Communications
By registering for or purchasing an offering, you agree that Skills Leap may send electronic communications reasonably related to your enrollment, purchase, account, course access, schedules, support, or other service matters. Marketing communications are handled in accordance with our eLearning Privacy Policy and applicable law, and may be opted out of where required or provided.
8. Live Sessions and Recordings
Some offerings may include live sessions, office hours, Ask the Experts sessions, workshops, or other interactive components. Availability, timing, facilitators, and format may vary by offering. Skills Leap may reasonably reschedule, replace, or modify live components when necessary. Live sessions may be recorded by Skills Leap for internal quality, training, documentation, or course-improvement purposes. Any public or promotional use of identifiable participant recordings or contributions will require separate permission when applicable.
9. Third-Party Platforms and Services
Skills Leap may use third-party platforms and service providers to host content, manage enrollment and learner accounts, process payments, deliver email and other course communications, provide video or community features, and support analytics or related learning operations. We do not list every platform feature or integration in these Terms. Your use of third-party services may also be subject to the provider’s own terms and privacy practices. Skills Leap is not responsible for interruptions or failures caused by third-party systems outside our reasonable control.
10. Availability, Changes, and Termination
Skills Leap may update content, technology, instructors, schedules, or delivery methods to maintain or improve an offering. We may suspend or terminate access for security or legal reasons, misuse, or a material violation of these Terms. If a material change substantially affects a paid offering, Skills Leap will make reasonable efforts to provide an appropriate remedy consistent with the circumstances and any applicable offer-specific terms.
11. Educational and Professional Disclaimer
Skills Leap offerings are provided for educational and professional-development purposes. We do not guarantee specific employment, business, financial, organizational, or other outcomes. Participants remain responsible for their own decisions and implementation, including decisions involving artificial intelligence tools, software, or other third-party services.
12. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Skills Leap does not warrant that learning platforms, Content, or related services will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available without delay. Skills Leap will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or similar losses arising from use of an offering or a third-party platform where such limitation is permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Skills Leap and its officers, employees, contractors, and agents harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your material breach of these Terms, violation of law or third-party rights, or unlawful content or conduct submitted or carried out by you through the learning services.
14. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information in connection with eLearning offerings is described in the Skills Leap Privacy Policy. Third-party service providers may also process information under their own privacy policies.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as our learning offerings, technology, or legal obligations change. The current version will be made available through our eLearning pages or platform. Changes apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or a Skills Leap learning offering will be subject to the state or federal courts located in Seattle, Washington, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
