Skills Leap, LLC (“Skills Leap,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of people who visit, register for, purchase, and participate in our online courses and learning offerings. This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.
1. Scope
This policy applies to Skills Leap online learning pages, registration and enrollment, course participation, learning communications, and related digital services. Our eLearning experiences may be delivered through third-party platforms and service providers, which may also maintain their own privacy policies.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with our learning offerings, we may collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, organization, role, contact details, registration information, responses to forms or surveys, course submissions, questions, comments, and communications with us. We may also receive information associated with enrollment, course access, progress, participation, or completion when the learning platform provides those features.
When you visit eLearning pages or use learning services, we or our service providers may automatically collect device and usage information such as browser type, operating system, device information, IP address, approximate location, referral source, pages viewed, links or calls-to-action clicked, checkout activity, purchases, login activity, cookies, and similar analytics or operational information.
3. How We Use Information
We may use personal information to provide and administer learning offerings; register and authenticate learners; process and confirm purchases; provide course access; communicate about courses, schedules, live sessions, support, and account matters; deliver requested or permitted marketing communications; operate and improve our learning experiences; understand use of our pages and funnels; prevent misuse or fraud; maintain appropriate business records; and comply with legal obligations.
4. Payments
Course payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Skills Leap does not intend to store full payment-card information when a payment processor handles the transaction. We may receive transaction information needed to confirm purchases, provide access, maintain business records, address refunds or disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
5. Communications and Marketing
We may use your contact information to send service communications related to an enrollment, purchase, account, course, schedule, or support request. With your permission or where otherwise permitted by law, we may also send news, offers, course announcements, or other marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing email using the unsubscribe method provided in the message. If you are unable to unsubscribe using that method, you may contact us at [email protected] and request removal from the applicable marketing list. Opting out of marketing does not prevent necessary transactional or service communications.
6. Service Providers and Sharing
We may share information with service providers that help us operate our eLearning business, including providers for course hosting and learner management, website or funnel functionality, payment processing, email communications, video delivery, analytics, automation, customer relationship management, and technical support. Because these services and integrations may change over time, this Policy describes the categories of providers and processing rather than listing every platform feature or integration. We share or permit access to information only as reasonably necessary for those services or as otherwise permitted by law.
If a live learning session is recorded, participant audio, video, chat, names, or other contributions may be included in the recording and retained for internal Skills Leap quality, training, documentation, or course-improvement purposes. We will seek separate permission before using identifiable participant recordings or contributions publicly or for promotional purposes when applicable.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our eLearning pages and third-party platforms may use cookies and similar technologies for site operation, login, security, preferences, analytics, marketing, or measuring the effectiveness of pages and campaigns. You may be able to manage cookies through browser settings or consent tools made available on the applicable page or platform. Disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
8. Information Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. We also rely on third-party service providers to protect information processed through their systems. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide learning services, maintain appropriate business and transaction records, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support legitimate business needs. Retention periods may vary by category of information and service provider.
10. International Processing
Skills Leap and some of our service providers may process or store information in the United States or other countries. If you access our offerings from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to countries with privacy laws different from those in your location.
11. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
You may contact us to ask about personal information we hold about you or to request correction or deletion where applicable. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, which can include rights to be informed, access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and rights relating to certain automated decision-making or profiling. We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.
12. Children
Skills Leap eLearning offerings are intended for adults and professional learners unless a specific offering states otherwise. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children through our general eLearning offerings. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in circumstances where parental consent or another legal basis is required, we will take appropriate steps to delete or otherwise address that information.
13. Links and Third-Party Services
Our learning experiences may contain links to websites or services that Skills Leap does not own or control. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy statements of third-party services you use.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our learning offerings, technology, service providers, or legal obligations change. The current version will be made available through our eLearning pages or platform.
